great review from Kirkus!
Kirkus Reviews just gave Everyone Is Beautiful a great review!! The full text includes many plot points and several spoilers, so in an effort to protect the story’s surprises, I’ll just give you the best line:
“In less deft hands, the horrors of the out-of-control Coates toddlers would resemble bad reality television, but Center’s breezy style invites the reader to commiserate, laughing all the way, with Lanie’s plight.”

Jean Kerr
The review is very positive, calling the book “lighthearted” and saying that it “avoids the obvious clichés, while harkening pleasantly back to ’50s-era motherhood humor classics like Jean Kerr’s Please Don’t Eat the Daisies.” (Please Don’t Eat The Daisies became a movie with Doris Day and David Niven and then later became a TV show.)
Jean Kerr is a hero of mine. That’s a wonderful comparison. Yay, Kirkus. Congratulations!
